Ok kids, apparently I wasn't smart enough to schedule classes around the current showtime, so Requiem Radio will be changing showtimes. Soon I will let you kids know when it is (meaning, when we know), but in the meantime, keep checking here. I've added about 3 hours worth of new metal into the computer at the station so keep listening to hear all of it (including the new Opeth, Every Time I Die, BTBAM, and The Banner). Also, shortly we will have a working Myspace page and hopefully a real webpage.

I'm not sure that most of you would say this band, Cave In, belongs anywhere near a site about a show about metal, but they do, so there. I'm just sitting here listening to a track on their forthcoming album, Perfect Pitch Black. It's fantastic, same goes for the new Coheed and Cambria single.

Anyway, we've added a new team member to the blogging, Sho, the new regular on air, and, those two guys have moved into Requiem House officially so they should be posting soon and we'll definitely have more in store for the show. Also, this coming Monday, there will be no show because Guy and I will be interviewing bands at Warped Tour (exciting, huh, haha, detect some sarcasm fuckers).

Strong Rumours gathered from the mouths of Jeff Walker & Bill Steer of Liverpool Gore Grind Superstars Carcass and Adrian Erlandsson, Drummer of Swedish Melodic Death Metal Masters At The Gates at the recent Metal Hammer Awards in London suggest that both bands are considering reforming and going on tour together in the near future.

Ok, so for those of you listening, you didn't hear us give away Madagascar tickets last night, the reason? Not enough people listening, but for those of you that did listen and I did hear from, you will be receiving my gratitude and a gift.

Today I put some new music in the computer for you kids that like to rock out even when GotC and I are not making you listen. I've also added some stuff that you kids don't get to hear until next week, namely Gorerotted and Darkane. Hopefully in the next week or 3 I'll get a chance to go through my CD collection and pickout some things to add into rotation so you can have more metal than you could ever dream of, haha.

I got the new Clutch record today so I will try and give it some adds before Monday so that Tuesday you guys can hear CLUTCH.

Ok, how does 7 PM until 10 PM Sunday sound guys? If I don't hear complaints then I'll do a three hour show as a special treat and we'll switch back to two hours until I can hammer out a definite time. So this week it's back to work for TimWillDrown. I'm going to be working Tue-Fri 2PM-11PM and possibly Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully I'll have Sunday off and I'll do the show but keep checking back for an update. I'm about to head up to the station and do some adds, if I got some new CDs that is. Reviews are on the way, I'm just having to do them between working and sleeping and whatnot.

I'm going to post a little update just in case you want more information while you're waiting for me to do a show and post more information. The following CDs are added into rotation for this week: Brand New Sin - Recipe for Disaster, Stranger by Day - The Death of Apathy, Cursed - II, and some more tracks from The Red Chord - Clients.

Personally, I'm still diggin the Red Chord disc and also, Death By Stereo's latest, Death for Life, is fucking fantastic. Sure, I love them, sue me. If you listen to any of the automated metal (Tues-Thurs, 7PM-11PM) you'll probably hear tracks from that quite a bit.

Next week is going to be a hot week though, one of my favorite bands is releasing a new album (June 28th) and we'll be rocking some tracks off of it early, hell, if it's clean I'll add the ENTIRE disc.

Oh, and here's some things to read and respond to:
1) WVCW will be doing a giveaway for free tickets to see Madagascar, that new animated film, so if you're interested in winning them, let me know so I can forward the details of the giveaway.
2) I'll be putting together the website for this show (along with touching up this blog) and I want to know what you kids want on this thing, pictures, mp3s, what? Let me know.
3) I'm still running that contest for a big ass CD pack, promote my show and take pictures or video, something that proves you did it, and send it to me.
4) I'm working on some more contests, big ones, so get people listening, if I don't get responses on the ones I'm doing, there won't be any bigger ones.
5) I'm planning on doing CD reviews for the website, I figure, why should you kids go out and buy these discs unless you've heard tracks (on the show) or at least read something about it, what do you think? (I'll post a sample this week when I get a chance to write it out).

So I'm sitting here thinking that it'd be nice if my radio show had a web page. While browsing around I remembered that one of the other DJ's has a blog and turns out one for his show as well, so that sounds good, I'll do this until I can get a webpage up. Anyway, the time for the show will be changing and there will be no show tomorrow, 5/30, I'll be at my dad's enjoying some barbeque. The reason for the showtime changing is entirely different, however. I've got a job that has me working during my normal show hours so I think I'm going to move my show to Sundays, but that's up in the air. If anyone has any requests or anything, drop me a line at tim@requiemradio.com and I'll be posting again soon (and possibly so will Guy on the Couch).
